Upgraded your H11 low beam lamps to LED but found the bulb and associated driver won’t fit inside the headlamp assembly with the dust cover installed? Keep your expensive new electronics out of the elements with these cover extenders!
This set of (2) extended dust covers replaces the OEM covers (GM P/N 23486492, 747832600 embossed inside) and locks into place on the headlamp assembly using the OEM O-ring to keep dust out. The covers are 25mm (~1″) longer than OEM to provide a deeper pocket to accommodate the larger base of the LED bulb as well as an LED driver.
These covers are 3D printed in strong, durable fiber reinforced PETG plastic. This material can endure higher temperatures making it suited for under-hood use.
Note: The GMC Canyon and Chevy Colorado use different dust covers, these covers will NOT fit the GMC Canyon. The Colorado cover is larger and has 5 locking tabs instead of 4 so there is nothing that matches up.
Installation:
- Remove blue O-ring from existing dust cover and install on the new extended cover
- Install the extended cover with the twist lock arrow facing up
- Twist the cover in the direction of the arrow (clockwise viewed from the rear) until it stops
The covers are made to order and are generally ready to ship within 5-7 days.
